For years girls have been overlooked in the four-wheel driving world. Many of us love to work on cars, travel the country, go camping and just hit the road and see where they end up.
We live in the world where women are working in the mines, they are diesel mechanics, engineers and much more now. We are accomplishing thing many use to say we couldn't and we will keep Surprising people.
I have loved the out doors since I was a little kid holidaying up the river with family. 4wding in my early adult years was in friends or partners 4wds because back then I just couldn't afford or find what I really wanted. I use to be laughed at and told that I'm a girl I shouldn't be driving that and to go get a little Barina.
Up until 3 years or so ago I didn't realise how many women were out there that loved offroading as much as me. Many still now are just discovering this like I did and to find female 4wd clubs where you can meet other women was amazing.
I became a member in South Australia with Yeah The Girls 4x4 where I met some amazing girls. Some were absolutely crazy off road in their GQ patrol basher cars and just sent it, the rush I got getting off road with these girls was indescribable. They have so much respect for each other and they are so supportive in so many ways.
I created Aussie Girls Offroad because I want to keep sharing and showing other women out there still new to the world of offroading, that they aren't alone. Many have made an amazing career out of it and live on the road just traveling, camping and 4wding the country.
